Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Cream the Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
Step 3: Add the Eggs & Vanilla
Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and stir until combined.
Step 4: Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Step 5: Fold in the Chocolate Chips
Gently stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Step 6: Scoop & Bake
- Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Step 7: Cool & Enjoy
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container for later!
