Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Taco Filling
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Break it up into small pieces as it cooks.
- Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the mixture is thickened and well-combined. Set aside to cool slightly.
Step 2: Assemble the Taco Cups
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or butter.
- Cut the mini flour tortillas into small circles (a cup or a cookie cutter works well for this) and gently press them into the muffin tin to form cups.
- Spoon the seasoned taco meat into each tortilla cup, filling them generously.
Step 3: Add Cheese & Bake
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese) on top of the taco meat in each cup.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges of the tortillas are crispy and golden brown.
Step 4: Top & Serve
- Remove the taco cups from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes.
- Top each taco cup with your favorite taco toppings like sour cream, salsa, guacamole, or diced tomatoes.
