A Brunch Hit: The Dish Everyone’s Talking About
Brunch is that perfect meal where you want to strike a balance between comforting favorites and something a bit more refined, and the dish I served at my recent brunch truly hit that sweet spot. Guests couldn’t stop raving about it, and I was left with nothing but compliments and requests for the recipe. The Dish:
For this brunch, I prepared a dish that was both hearty and flavorful, offering a mix of textures and ingredients that left everyone asking for seconds. While I’m not one to keep good secrets, I’ll happily share the recipe with you!
Ingredients:
- For the main dish:
- 1 pound of baby potatoes, washed and halved
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- Fresh herbs for garnish (parsley, chives, or thyme)
- For the eggs:
- 6 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- For the avocado salsa:
- 2 ripe avocados, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
